Google Cloud now lets retailers create AI agents using Google Agentspace
The new tool aims to automate marketing operations for retailers
Ahead of the NRF 2025 event, Google Cloud announced the release of new generative AI tools for retailers. Carrie Tharp, Vice President of Global Solutions & Industries at Google Cloud, stated in a blog post, “Google Cloud is showing how AI agents and AI-powered search are helping retailers operate more efficiently and create more personalized shopping experiences to meet the demands of the AI era.”
AI Agents with Google Agentspace
Google Cloud is allowing retailers to develop AI Agents powered by Google Agentspace. Google Agentspace helps companies easily build intelligent agents.
Google Cloud says these AI agents will allow retailers to personalize their customer experiences with product recommendations, answer customer queries in real-time, and assist shoppers throughout the buying process. The company claims these AI agents can automate operational tasks like inventory management, customer service, and loss prevention.
Upgraded Vertex AI Search for Commerce
Google also announced a new update to its Vertex AI Search for Commerce. The tool now uses advanced language models to improve product discovery for retailers. The update can enhance search, browsing, and recommendations.
Expanded image tools
Google Cloud is also rolling out upgrades to its image-to-video and image-generation tools. These tools will provide retailers with more creative options for their marketing operations.
