X has introduced a new AI ad platform for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). X Business’s official handle says, the new platform “uses X's AI to enhance targeting efficiency, saving you time and improving performance.” It also said, “Advertisers can also set a desired cost per action (CPA) using the tool.”
Sid Rao, an Ads Engineer at X, said the new ads platform has enhanced automation and AI targeting features. In a tweet, he highlighted several features of the platform. They include AI targeting capabilities, bid optimization, auto-tracking pixel creation, and quick campaign launch, among other functionalities.
The platform is currently available to select new advertisers through ads.x.com.
X’s focus on AI ad automation follows recent trends in the tech industry. Major platforms have all introduced similar AI features to automate ad targeting, creative content, and budget management. Earlier this month, Pinterest launched ‘Performance+ Creative’ for brands to integrate their products into relatable lifestyle images. TikTok launched ‘Smart+’ AI tool for ad creation. These platforms join Meta’s Advantage+ and Google’s Performance Max in rolling out AI tools for ad creation.
