LinkedIn adds Canva integration for video ad creation
The company wants to pull in more B2B ad dollars by focusing on video

Get Smarter at Marketing
LinkedIn has introduced a new Canva integration for direct video ad creation and publishing using the new LinkedIn Ads app. The partnership will enable advertisers to design, export, and publish video ads directly to their LinkedIn Ads account without leaving Canva.
Previously, there was no direct way to move video creatives from Canva into LinkedIn. Marketers had to download videos from Canva, adjust the formatting, and manually upload videos to LinkedIn Ads Manager. Lucas Van Hooff, LinkedIn's Account Executive for Marketing Solutions, said in an email, “Producing polished, platform-ready video content has traditionally been time-consuming and expensive.”
Now, with the LinkedIn Ads app for Canva, advertisers can build their creative, connect their LinkedIn account, and send video assets straight into their LinkedIn media library. The platform claims this integration aims to simplify and speed up the video ad workflow for B2B marketers.
LinkedIn is focusing on video to pull in more B2B ad dollars. During its recent NewFronts presentation, the company leaned heavily into video and discussed new video tools and formats.
Marketers can use pre-made LinkedIn video ad templates
This new tool lets advertisers choose from pre-made LinkedIn video ad templates in Canva. Marketers can tweak the content of the templates to fit their needs. They also insert brand assets, and add animations while using these templates. Advertisers can also design their video ads from scratch, and get access to Canva’s Brand Kit feature.
How advertisers can use the new LinkedIn Ads app in Canva
To get started, advertisers need to install the LinkedIn Ads app in Canva. Once installed, they can work on a new design or bring in an existing one. After connecting their LinkedIn account and granting permissions, they can export the video creatives directly to their LinkedIn Ads account without manual uploads.
