Reddit is rolling out two new ad tools: Reddit Insights and Conversation Summary Add-ons. The tools are powered by Reddit Community Intelligence, a system that draws from conversations shared on the platform.

According to Reddit, Reddit Community Intelligence “powers products and insights, turning Reddit's 22+ billion posts and comments into structured intelligence for marketing decisions.”

Both Reddit Insights and Conversation Summary Add-ons are currently in alpha testing, which means they’re only available to select advertisers for now. The early-stage tools were announced at this year’s Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

Reddit Insights

Reddit Insights is a social listening platform built specifically for Reddit. According to the company, it uses AI to scan Reddit’s massive archive of user-generated content and surface insights that brands can use during campaign planning or creative testing.

Reddit claims that this tool is trained to understand the structure of Reddit discussions, drawing on its proprietary metadata to filter out noise and focus on what people truly care about. This means advertisers can see what a specific audience is saying about a product category, emerging trend, or competitor in real time.

Reddit Insights examines how conversations evolve around a product, trend, or cultural moment. According to Reddit, the goal is to “eliminate traditional barriers to social listening” and provide brands with real-time visibility into cultural movements.

Conversation Summary Add-ons

Conversation Summary Add-ons is an ad feature that lets marketers plug Reddit user comments directly into the ad experience. Reddit uses AI to pull short, relevant comments from users and places them below an ad.

For instance, below a display or video ad, Reddit may automatically surface a curated summary of positive user comments related to that brand or topic.

It’s a curated feed that shows actual Reddit posts relevant to the brand, topic, or product being advertised. The goal, according to Reddit, is to blend AI-powered curation with authentic voices from the community, giving potential customers a sense of what real people are saying right under the ad creative.
