Google is expanding Veo 3, its video generation tool, to Ads Asset Studio. The integration brings Google’s text-to-video model into the same toolset advertisers use to craft creative assets inside Google Ads.

The update was announced by Google’s VP of Ads and Commerce, Vidhya Srinivasan, as part of the new features coming to Google in her third annual letter outlining the company’s ads expectations for the year. According to the announcement, Veo 3 will enable advertisers to produce video assets.

How Veo 3 is expected to work inside Google Ads

While Google has not released full documentation yet, early reporting suggests advertisers will be able to type a description of a video concept inside Ads Asset Studio. That description can include details about scenes, movement, characters, and even sound cues. 

Based on that prompt, Veo 3 will generate a complete video clip that can be saved as an ad asset. The clip can then be used in formats that support video, including YouTube placements and display inventory.

Advertisers who already rely on Asset Studio to manage images and copy would now see video generation as another option in that same environment.

Veo 3’s background and prior availability

Veo 3 is Google’s third-generation video generation model from DeepMind. The model was initially introduced to developers in mid-2025 through the Gemini API and Vertex AI. In September last year, Google announced it would bring Veo 3 to Asset Studio. The company also produced a 30-second video commercial using Veo 3 to pitch AI video generation directly to advertisers.

Veo 3 also combines imagery, motion, and audio to produce videos, allowing advertisers to iterate on visual creatives without exporting to external tools.
