YouTube is testing a new update called “Open Call.” The program lets advertisers request custom ad content from eligible creators.

When creators see an open call campaign, they can review these requests and submit their content if interested. According to YouTube, open calls by advertisers will include creative prompts, brand information, and payment for those selected. This test will run throughout December.

Brand Connect expansion and YouTube Shorts update

YouTube has made its Brand Connect self-service platform available to all eligible creators. The feature is accessible under the “Earn” tab in YouTube Studio.

It enables creators to manage brand deals and offers a customizable Media Kit to showcase audience insights.

YouTube has also rolled out updates for Shorts. These videos are now organized into the Subscriptions page, channel pages, and YouTube Studio. Creators can create 1-3-minute videos for Shorts.
