Flip has launched a new creator fund called the Flip Founding Creators Fund. It offers up to $100 million in equity value to eligible creators. The platforms say the program aims to reward content creators.

Flip says it will grant creators up to $1 million per day for the first 30 days, beginning January 20, 2025.

How the Flip Founding Creators Fund works

According to Flip, creators who receive grants will see their equity value fluctuate based on the platform’s growth. The company explains that if Flip's valuation increases tenfold, a $25,000 grant could grow to $250,000. However, if the valuation drops by 50%, the same grant would decrease to $12,500.

The payout of the grants will occur within five years or sooner, depending on the platform’s valuation at the time.

Who can apply for the Flip Creator Fund?

Flip has set specific conditions for creators who wish to apply. To qualify, applicants must Be an existing Flip creator with at least 4,000 followers and 10+ videos that have reached over 3,000 unique views each within the past 30 days.

Eligible creators must also have over 20,000 followers on TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube.

Creators can receive $1 million from nominations

The fund also introduces a community-nominated $1 million grant. Flip creators can nominate another creator for the grant. The creator with the most nominations will receive the $1 million grant, regardless of whether they have applied for the fund.

Flip's growing popularity amid TikTok uncertainty

Flip has gained 7.8 million global downloads across the App and Google Play stores.
